Chocolatespoon: Emily’s Musings

Archive for the ‘Work’ Category

I used up 5 seconds of my 15 minutes of fame today by appearing in this Business Week video.

This week I’m attending the KMWorld & Intranets 2008 conference and gave a presentation this afternoon (a little case study of how we collect user feedback on our research portal and some of the things we’ve found in our recent surveys and user studies.)

My team at work took me out this afternoon for a tea party at Chic Chateau (walking distance from work but I had absolutely no idea it was there!). It was a wonderful treat and I definitely feel like I’ve been sent off in style.

Tomorrow’s my last day of work before maternity leave kicks in — the baby is officially due 2 weeks from today but we’ll see when she decides she’s ready…

Rose Garden

Posted on: May 10, 2007

Its Community Involvement week at work and as one of the activities a bunch of us went to the nearby rose garden and helped out — some people mulched and the rest of us dead-headed the roses. Here’s a group shot:

Our team’s HR rep was featured on NBC11 news on 5/3 in a piece about the population boom in California (and in particular San Jose). She had a baby on April 30 (10.1 pounds!!!!)

In training most of today and tomorrow, working on meeting facilitation, creative thinking, ideation, etc., mosting using the models from Synectics.

Our team went out for a lovely holiday tea today!
