Ratatouille

Posted on: June 30, 2007

RatatouilleSince we can never resist a Pixar movie, we took a well-deserved break from a day of grading papers to go see Ratatouille. I loved it and can’t wait until we can see it on DVD with all the extras and outtakes (always the best part of already awesome Pixar films).

I too snuck out of the house and away from school books to catch Ratouille– with my 8-year old son. I don’t know who loved it more. There were plenty of jokes for adults but the basic plot and characters certainly had tons of appeal for children! Our audience was actually applauding when the health inspector got tied up and thrown into the food locker! How nice to see that the rats got there own place upstairs in the end. That food critic reminded me of a certain book reviewer that squashes first-time novelists! What excellent animation, sure to become the next Finding Nemo or Toy Story classic. I raced home for a cheese sandwich with strawberries!
