Today is my grandfather’s 90th birthday party so we had a huge party at the new Ralph and Betty Sheffer Hall (named after him and my grandmother) at the Westport History Center. The party was also to celebrate Brian and Karen’s (pictured here with Grandpa) engagement (the wedding’s next month!)
Brian and Karen opened some presents beforehand — here they’re getting a first edition of Make Way For Ducklings (they also got a Mini!!)

Some photos from the party:

Emily – Great job at the party. I truly believe that you could have sold 20 digital cameras and printers. I felt like I was at a trade show without the samples for sale. A lot of grandpas generation were impressed about the simplicity and ease of the system instead of having a computer with connections, software, printers and printer software, etc, etc, etc. . . . .
Great to see you. We need to hire you to come and clean up our computer mess here. Would you get together a list of equipment and we could see about purchasing that before your arrival.
Lots of Love, Doug, Barbi and Brooke
Emily – the pictures are great! We had a wonderful time…and poor John because I know I want that printer for my anniversary present! See you in a couple of weeks!
Love, Cheryl & the Eggs
I saw a story on the party online — I think it was westportnow.com. Just curious about one thing — when did Betty and Eduard get that big?
Great pictures. I’m sorry I missed it. I am soooooo looking forward to the big day in October. See you soon, love Constance
